"अन्नदान महादान — The one who gives food gives life itself. In Sanatan Dharma, feeding the hungry is not merely an act of kindness — it is the highest worship of God."

The Story Behind Anna Seva

It began with a simple question: How many people in our own city go to sleep hungry tonight? The answer broke our hearts. Street families, daily-wage labourers, migrant workers, the homeless elderly — thousands of people in every city wake up each day without the certainty of a single meal.

Seva Dham Foundation launched Anna Seva with one clear commitment: no one in our reach should sleep hungry. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Every single day, without fail, our volunteers prepare and distribute free, hot, nutritious meals to those who need it most.

Today, Anna Seva runs every day of the year — rain or shine, festivals or working days. Our dedicated team of volunteers arrives at multiple distribution points from 12:00 PM, serving warm dal-rice, sabzi, roti and seasonal dishes prepared fresh each morning.

Who We Feed

Our Anna Seva reaches the most vulnerable and overlooked members of society — people who fall through every social safety net. We serve street families with young children who have no fixed income or home, daily-wage labourers who may go unpaid on slow work days, migrant workers far from their families, elderly individuals who live alone and cannot cook, and patients and their families waiting outside public hospitals with no means for a meal.

We do not ask for identity proof, religion, caste or any documentation. Anyone who is hungry is welcome at our distribution point. This is the Seva Dham promise.

"Main yahan roz kaam dhoondne aata hoon. Kai baar din mein kuch nahi milta. Seva Dham ke bhaiya log roz khana dete hain — woh din ka sabse acha waqt hota hai. Bhagwan unhe khush rakhe."

— Ramesh, Daily-wage labourer, Thane
